From home that virtually none of you lot would have seen;
Romper Stomper
Chopper
Bad Boy Bubby
Used to watch Romper Stomper quite a bit in the late 80's, I believe!

EDIT: I grew up watching NYC TV (WOR), and used to watch Hammer horror films every Sunday night. I still love them: Horror Express (with Telli (sp?) Savalas playing a zombie Cossack) and any Dracula films starring Christopher Lee (ie, Horror of Dracula).

Any Zombie Movie actually. Romero zombies, Italian Horror Zombies, Spoof Zombies.

If they're undead, I'm into it.

Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey.

That's right Bogus Journey. Love it.

And I can't forget:

Rochelle, Rochelle
The story of a young girl's strange erotic journey from Milan to Minsk

Lost Highway - F'ed up, looks cool, leaves you thinking "WTF?"

Big Night - starring Stanley Tucci and somebody else, fun movie about a restaurant's "big night"

A Simple Plan - The guy from Twister, Bridget Fonda, Billy Bob, What would you do if you found a pile of money?

The Three Amigos - comedy classic in my books

Exorcist III - great horror flick if the religious stuff gives you the creeps

What's the one with Mandy Pantinkin where they have to build a fence of stones? I cannot remember that one at all, except that I liked it.

Tron

My buddy just saw "The Host", a Korean horror flick, and gave it a big 2 thumbs up.

I don't know if this movie falls within the parameters of the OP, but I'm with you. Tron was a quality flick, especially considering that it was made in the early 80s.

Rabbit-Proof Fence is another great movie, though it may be too mainstream for this thread.
