So here is the deal lets post what our favorite smells are and why.

Mine would have to be diesel fuel and grease. My dad works for John Deere. When I was little he would always come home smelling of diesel and grease. The smell was imprinted in my mind and now when ever that it always makes me happy.

As cheesy as this sounds, I'd have to say the smell that comes when you're in the woods and it's raining. It's refreshing and just keeps you plugging along.
That, and gasoline....

and sometimes spraypaint....or not..

I like diesel too. I don't like gasoline. It took months to be able to stand to fuel the GMC I bought, before the Xterra, that had a 350 in it. I had many years of diesels and was really used to them.

The smell of the beach at my parents' place in Rocky Point, Mexico...
Fresh cut grass after a rain storm...
Any cut wood during a build project...
High Karate (because it reminds me of my granddads)...
And I'm sure all the parents can agree-- the smell of Alaina's (well, your child's) hair after washing it (boy, do I miss that one immensely)..................

My wife smells good.

GT-85, and bike workshops generally.

Many foods, especially steak, and ginger cake.

fresh sage
Basil and lavender as well. My wife has herbs planted all around the front and back yard as part of the landscaping. We use it to cook with, but it's also cool looking.

In our old house we had some pineapple sage that smelled awesome.
