morning.

The first week back after vacation is always the worst. Been up since 3:30am... insomnia sucks. Well at least it's Friday and hopefully I can catch up on sleep this weekend.

Mornin! Awesome afternoon golfing with CrabJoe yesterday; I wish I had taken the opportunity to do so more often this summer.

Last day of work on the job. Saying my good byes and doing the necessary paperwork. Heading home tonight to pack up the cars and we'll be off tomorrow morning. 5 days and 2,000 miles awaits.

Any CO monkeys wanna meet up for a ride when I get into town?

Good morning.
Up early (for me) too, coffee in hand and getting a head start on the day.
I need to do the rear brakes on my car, like yesterday.

Ps88: you know it. Where will you be living again?
(5 days to drive 2,000 miles? Are you dragging an anchor behind the truck???)

Peach: you're done now, like DONE done, right??

I hope this was a one time "pay your dues" kinda project for you, location-wise.
Yup. I get on a plane out of here forever tomorrow after work. That Kir is going to taste fvcking good.

I, too, hope this was all worth it... Things are pretty slow back at the home office. I'll be good for a couple of months after I'm back, but the lords and masters are being very non-committal about the future. At least it'll be a nice addition to the CV.

The feelers are certainly out...

Step one: get re-acquainted with my family.
step two: shoulder rehab
step three: do lots of riding
step four: worry about work. I've been at it enough for the last year or so...

Can't wait.

End of the week. Going to try and get in a hammer ride after work. That is all.

I'm in. I'm farther south at the bottom end of the Denver-metro area though.

Yo. Went out to garage to check on bikes (ie polish & put air in tires, etc) for race tonight only to discover that the kid has killed his freewheel and BB is on its way out. Replaced said freewheel with a less crunchy one. BB will make it through tonight. Frickin' 6 year olds :D

PS, yes, talked kid into his 1st night race (scholarship benefit race) - "OK, I'll go if it helps kids out....do I still get a trophy if I win?!" Will have to break it to him that it's a double points race & tomorrow is state qualifiers, so a ton more kids will most likely be in his class...Having a tough time helping him to understand that racing is not black and white (win/lose).

Good morning. Ate the best Italian food I've ever had last night at a dumpy hole in the wall called Joey's. Headed for Canadia this afternoon, hope they let me in.

Peach: congrats.

PS88: for sure man!

Did stevew used to be $tinkle? Did I miss something somewhere?

Yesterday was a success. Got in a ride and still managed to get a lot of crap done round the house. Vicious hail storm in the evening, trees got stripped, my roses all got pummeled, and the fence looks like it has a disease.

Any CO monkeys wanna meet up for a ride when I get into town?
I might be able to take a trip up that way.

squeeb making snow angels yesterday?

That storm was still gaining strength when it passed through Golden but the lightning show was incredible over here.
That storm hammered us. I was driving and the hail was so thick that I couldn't see the car in front of us, and we were doing <10mph when it hit. I wasn't able to check for hail damage, but I wouldn't be surprised when I get home to find it.

Let me know when you're on to step 3. Some Whistlering is in order.

Whatcha say there, Donkey Kong!

Spent most of yesterday at Wife's company's summer outing, and was reminded what a complete athletic joke I am at anything other than riding a bike or running in a straight line. People did marvel though at my ability to eat such large quatities of food yet remain so thin. It's called 10-12 HOURS OF CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE A WEEK, PEOPLE!

Iab, how did you get all those caps to stay capped like that? I'm typing this in all caps but i bet it shows up all lowercase. It makes me want a refund.
