looks like this bike was a clean slate effort at picking out the best parts in each area. :thumb:

Truly a beautiful ride. I love the all-black look. That's definitely the nicest bike I've seen posted on here.

EDIT: Hey Espen, is it hard to get high-end bike gear in Norway? Or did you just pay out the ass for shipping?

Well thought-out bike! Great job.

Have you ever tried the steel spring on the avalanche so that you could give a small comparison between the two?
Did you pay:

550$ (shock) + 199$ (ti. spring)

or

550$ - ??$ (steel spring) + 199$ ?

Can't find it on the site..

The bike weights in at 41.6 pounds. This is with (light) tubes in the tires and the 2.7 Maxxis up front.

I have now swiched to 2.5 HR front, and try out some latex and mount the HR's directly.

Sub 41 is on the way!!!

The frame is bought from the only Turner distributor in Norway.
I got a good deal on the frame.

The other stuff are from my 01 DHR or bought from webshops in UK or US.
We got 24% VAT on everything from US and only a few % on the goods from UK.

Norwegial currecy is wery strong these days, so its ok.

Aaaahhhhhhh.......what a ride!!!

Just need to get a black 105 mech, levers anodised black, some marker pen on the tyre writing, and you'll be all set for some serious stealthy ninja DHing :)

Seriously, sweet bike, almost jealous :)
