Yeah, I race Jr. X now. Firestone was my first race as an expert, though. I ended up in 5th place out of almost 20 people and my times were 1:37.8 1st run 1:36.1 second run.Bicyclist said:Konabiker, you race Jr. X, right? What was your time and place out of the total riders? I'm seeing if I should move up to at least Sport from beginner.
The top ten were all times under the 1:38-1:39 range, so mid pack. It's kind of hard to judge by this race as it caters to a different skill set than a more conventional (Norba National) style race. I wasn't expecting to do very well because of this - as pedalling, and fitness in general are not really my strong points in riding. The fastest time in the class was a 1:30.5 (crazy fast), but the person who set it had a mechanical on his first run.Bicyclist said:Cool. How would a 1:40 flat have done? I got a 1:43 but I had to pass some kid, and that screwed me up. I could have done 1:40 I figure.
