The woman-child announced at dinner tonight that for christmas she would like a radio/cd player. This of course got me thinking about my first radio, the first albums of my parents/friends parents that I fell in love with, and the first albums I purchased with my own money. I've decided I'm going to start hitting the used record store and picking up a couple albums per pay period that I grew up that really influenced my taste in music, that I'd like Carissa to have.
In no particular order:
The Highway Men and/or Waylon, Merle, Johnny, Willie
Beach Boys; California Girls
They Might be Giants; Flood
Greatest hits or Collections of The Beatles; Neil Diamond; Elvis; The Cars; The Drifters; The Temptations; Buddy Holly; Weird Al; Billy Joel; Paul McCartney and/or Wings
Favorites? Suggestions? What were those first couple albums that made your pre-teen mind go *poof*?
