First of all, really nice forum
I'm fixing my dad's old bike (an old 91 miyata frame and fork, deore XT hardware, etc). What I want to do is fix this dent that my dad have on its bike. Any ideas?

I'd just leave it. It appears to be somewhere in the middle of the toptube...it may not look good, but it'll work just fine. Besides...it'll add some character...

if that don't work, try electrical tape....and lots of it.

Looks like a steel frame, so I'd use bondo. Make it look just like new!

You could take it to a frame builder, and they can cut the tube out and replace it.

well, its quite light, so I think its probably aluminium. about taking it to the frame builder.. well, that doesn't sound that crazy... i'll ask the prices.

That looks like rust so I doubt it is aluminum which wasn't that common in 91.
