Flowpark Death

I know from my professional experience that when the surveyors are called in plans to move forward with something has begun. It's just a matter of time, maybe upto couple of years out depending upon where they are in the entitlement process.

The latest plans I viewed on the DOT website show the highway just clipping the northeast corner of the park. It doesn't look like much impact at all.

Yes that is the route that was sent out in a flyer to the public that lived nearby, years back.
i've had another gentleman tell me he had an inside scoop of them blazing right over the top of the park and dumping into 216th.

So to me, at this point it's all like a big Earthquake. A big something is coming, jail, freeway, when and where, who knows....

I feel like fuzzycatnuts should just go ahead an knock out another "under the freeway park" when 509 eventually does go through there. State gets their freeway. We can still freeride the flowpark. It'll be casual.

Hopefully they will build the freeway right over the park, then it will be dry all the time :).

It was pretty funny when those people taking pictures went into the park. Everyone riding there came down at the same time, all hiting differant lines, it was Rad. Then the people left. Wonder who they were.....

Good thing we got Duthie, going to take a ton of work to get it as good as the flowpark is now though.

Is this the project in question? I could not find the project plans on www.bxwa.com but I did find that.
Nope, that's in Burien.

What i do know. They have been trying to extend 509 from where it ends on 180th further to I-5. If i remember correctly they have money in the coffers to make it happen but they fell short. Many properties and houses have been bought and cleared along Des Moines Memorial Drive by the Port. Possibly because of the new flight path of the third runway, but it's also along the route they wanted to use for 509. Obama is planning to announce a stimulis for roads and bridges for America....

i saw a tight lipped company come in and flag the flowpark area, and they've cleared around the fence line border along 15th.

That's ALL i know.
