I was on ebay and found two interesting tools I wanted to share with the rest of you:

In my life time I changed bushings on 5 occasions. I normally Buy used forks and come to changing the bushing a little more often than most folk. I know the trend now a days is to change forks every year, but I like to keep them longer to really get a good feel out of each and everyone. The idea came upon me to buy the tools. What you guys think

Im over here now
$480 buy it now? hahaha

you could send it back to the manufacturer 4+ times and still have money left over

i guess if youre a shop looking for used tools this is good....or you replace you bushing on your multiple forks, multiple times a year

i am on the same boat with you, like my equipment to last a few seasons.

but i dont think those tools are worth the price. i much rather send the fork in to a service centre. most of the time if you ask nicely, you can buy new lowers off them. which still keeps the cost quite low.

forgot to add, you are probably going to have better luck getting lowers with bushings in them off service centres then bushings alone. might be something you want to think about.

Well George, if you ask nicely. I am going to make the tools for myself (being a machinist), the shop is really slow right now. I could make a second set for a nominal price. Just let me know what diameters you need (if it is for a 40ie I've already got them) for the the lower and upper bushing. For both the removal and installation. I may take awhile to get the project complete. As still won't have full access to the machines. Thankfully were not dead slow right now...
