I'm thinking about switching over to a coil spring Van on the front of my Intense.

I had a couple questions though.
1. Can you change out the springs?
2. What is the color coding for the x-firm springs.
3. Any advice on which springs to run for a 220# guy?
4. Can I change them out myself, or is it best left to the shop?

1) yes
2) yellow
3) sorry, cant help you there. i am on the other end of the spectrum.
4) dead easy to change out, just need an adjustable spanner that goes up to 36mm. stay away from sockets as they round off the top cap if not ground down to work with the top caps.

Green works well for you? I'm 175 and I am bottoming the stock blue spring on even small jumps. I hope the green isn't too stiff for me. I assumed at 200lbs you'd definitely be on the yellow spring.
