How far can you drop the travel in a Fox 32 Float RL? Building up a frame designed around a 100mm fork, but I can only find newer models in 140 or 150mm. Can I drop 40mm? I have spacers, but am wondering if it's even feasible.

based on my understanding, the air sprung fox forks can be lowered as much as you might possibly want using the appropriate spacers. I've seen guys running float36's (160mm) @ 100 and 80mm on DJ/4x bikes.

Did you look at the Fox 32 F-Series -- this is essentially the float but it comes with less travel (80mm, 100mm and 120mm).
