Been reading lots of reviews on both of these Forks in 160mm but im wondering if the extra 400$ for the Talas is worth it. I am planning on throwing these things on a 2011 Transition Bottlerocket. Im curious what anyone thinks im leaning towards the Float cause id like to save some money but is the adjustable travel justify the extra 400$? curious to hear if any one has ridden the 2011's yet tell me what you think?

Ya i do climb but have spoken to someone who rides one and he said he messed with the adjustable for a lil while then just left it at the top cause the lower travel settings didnt help very much wondering if anyone thinks that is right or does it make a big difference.

Just make sure your looking at the RC2 FIT and not the Open Bath.
Universal Float $975, Talas $1035
Price Point Float $975, Talas they don't have but the 180mm is $1080

I just got a New 36 RC2 FIT 180mm Float for $800 shipped (eBay)
The RC2 FIT's in all models are $50-$80 difference. Just make sure your getting what you want?

I use the travel adjust on my Talas all the time. I have the Scott Voltage FR which also has rear travel adjust so the talas was a must. I use the 130mm and 100mm for trail riding and DJ and the 160mm for down hilling. I guess like everyone is saying, if you're planning on using the travel adjust then it's worth it.
