------take an old inner tube, cut a section of it to match the length of your
chainstay
------then slice it down the middle so that you can wrap it around the
chainstay
------wrap one end with black electrical tape, then the middle, then the
other end
------next you are going to wrap from one end to the other with electrical
tape
This works better than any chainstay guard I have ever used, and it lasts quite a long time, especially if you wrap it twice. It also doesn't cost any money. I actually just had to do it for the third time, because I keep breaking my rear triangle. :mumble:
I used a variation on that for my chainstay last night - sliced an inner tube open and cut a narrower strip off it, then wrapped it around the 'stay. I used puncture cement to hold it on.
