Giro has got some interesting things up their sleeve coming into Eurobike and Interbike this year. Already a major player in the bike game, Giro comes into this year with a complete shoe line and new gloves.

Giro swung by the office on their way to Euroland for some trade show that’s supposedly going on across the pond. Big news for 2012 is a beefed-up shoe lineup (which expands by a whopping 13 models) as well as some key updates to their increasingly popular gloves.
Here’s a sampling:
A new lower-cost offering from Giro, this model forgoes the ratchet system of more upstream models but comes in at a much more wallet-friendly price point.
Giro's mid-level Guage now ships with their customizable insoles...a welcome addition.
The Privateer is Giro's new mid-level offering that slots in below the Gauge. Trading a nylon-composite sole for carbon, the Privateer retains the rest of the upscale fit and finish of the Gauge.
The Xen glove gets beefed up for 2012 through strategic fabric upgrades, but retains the same lightweight feel.
Giro's XC-oriented glove, the Rivet, now features one-piece construction, additional mesh panels, and the introduction of CoolSkin fabric to help keep things ultra-breathable.
