I was wondering if this would come up. My money was on you to mention.Leonard Cohen RIP
@jdcamb was another strong contender, or @johnbryanpeters
But I guess they're both too old by now.

I'm more interested at this point in various music that I missed on the way by. Cohen was interesting at some level, but inasmuch as I know, is not included in my current music library. I'm more interested in Sonic Youth, MIA, Primus, James McMurtrey, Cartel de Santa, Black Flag, the whole range of nueva canción, and a whole bunch of other stuff.I was wondering if this would come up. I listened to Hallelujah about 30 times today. Top 10 song for me. Girlfriend named Marcy Cohen who died turned me on to him......I was wondering if this would come up. My money was on you to mention.

Lyrics for me....I once watched a Leonard Cohen documentary but could not understand why he was so well regarded, I think he was product of his time.
It's like most great art - the plebes won't understand...I once watched a Leonard Cohen documentary but could not understand why he was so well regarded, I think he was product of his time.
Proud to be plebe and currently listening to the Dickies sing the Banana Splits song. Butcher Baby next, Cohen cannot compete with nipple tape and shaving cream. It's like most great art - the plebes won't understand...
Just knowing @Toshi has been to the symphony is culture enough for the whole damn monkey. Most of us are...
sounds like a tuesday.Proud to be plebe and currently listening to the Dickies sing the Banana Splits song. Butcher Baby next, Cohen cannot compete with nipple tape and shaving cream.
Thank you, takes a lot of pressure of the rest of us...I and my wife perform classical music. The 18th and 19th centuries are how we roll.

Edit: Oh, yeah, Red Fang.
The library includes Black Flag, The Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, and Dead Kennedys, so I suspect I'm semi-covered. If you have particular suggestions, I'm open.@johnbryanpeters - hrmph. late 80s artsy alt rock is one thing...but if the era of alt-populist conservatism is indeed back, then it's the new york hardcore of that period you should be looking into - one can only hope something like it will re-emerge in times like these.
Meat Puppets...If you have particular suggestions, I'm open.
