From Shock To Solid?

Hey guys, I'm riding a Raleigh Mojave 8.0 with an XCR lockable fork. I never really go off road and it doesn't lock well anyway so I was thinking about swapping the fork for a solid one.

Have any of you guys gone that direction? Would it be a stupid move?

Thanks!

I think it could be a good idea to get a rigid fork on your bike if you are not happy with (and are not using) the suspension fork on there. You should be able to find a decent deal on a rigid; just make sure that you get one that is "suspension corrected." This will mean that the axle to crown measurement on the rigid fork will be similar to that of your suspension fork and will not change your geometry.
