i just completed a new bike build. it has a 1.5" headtube, and guess what? my old trusty The fender doesn't fit. it was even a bit tight for the small headtubes anyway at least with the pig headset. nice durable fender though.

doesn't rain much here in the desert but it is today.

i did a search and didn't find anything immediately for the big tubes.

what are you using?

modify the fender to mount it to the fork arch. It will work much better there, just ask team mondraker and fabien barel who use an old marzocchi front fender mounted on the arch.

thank for your replies. sorry i didn't explain the problem well.

the fork is a 1 1/8" boxxer, so i'm using reducers. the fender bracket has the two fender halves sitting to close to the headset.

its always been a bit of a problem. squeek squeek squeek as it rubs the headset if i'm just a tad off. i think i will try cutting the plastic back and see if that gives enough clearance. being (oh so) cheap, it's worth a shot.

putting the fender on the brake arch would take some major mods. unfortunately i only need it a few times a year.

The RRP? It works. Only place I know that sells it is Chain Reaction Cycles.

THE has rip off/copy of it that I believe is sold here.

as in THE mud fender. i can't find them on the web or a reference to their knock off of the rrp.

usa purchases are preferred for ease.
