Downsides: There's the closing trails due to winter improvement projects. Those are the worst. If Magic Forest and Old 9 are open. Do them. And there's parking and the cost of Vail.

Parking is still free in the summer, is it not?

It should be. Always has been. Since teh Covid, have not been since 2019.

I guess my remark of parking at Vail was that it's not exactly close or convenient to doing brake bleeds or other emergency bike fixes in said parking lots, but come to think of it, neither is WP. The best is Keystone and their super close, dirt parking lots.

"Cost of Vail" was mainly in respect to food and lodging. You can't really grill your hot dogs in the parking lot like Keystone. (I guess you can try?) Ahhh...those were the days....

Anyways, Again, in summary, Vail sucks.
