It takes a 9.0 x 2.75 (at least that's what I think is on mine which is an '02 as well?), so I don't think so.

No, as stated above, the Giants use a 9x2.75" The only Giant frames that use a 9.5x3" are the prototype frames that Myles and Dustin rode a few years ago.
