Damn! Theres some good stuff here!

I've Youtubed all of these suggestions so far and I think I'm going to look into all of them.

I'm pretty impressed with you lot. Awesome music here! Even skinnymike's Gangster Rap is good. Rep where rep is due (except you TN & Stevew, I have to spread some round first!).

last.fm >> pandora

I get really annoyed by the fact that pandora won't let you skip more than <x> number of songs in an hour. last.fm seems to put up way less "mainstream" stuff related to your selection too... which I like. Almost all the "related" stuff pandora throws up I've heard before.

Have you given Syd Barrett's Floyd a go?

you listened to UNKLE's war stories? Or psyence fiction? Wasn't a huge fan of the middle one, but war stories is one of my favorite albums right now.

Pink floyd, queens of the stone age, q and not u, the black keys, deftones, rage against the machine, the doors, american analog set, racontours, sleater kinney, pavement, fugazi, bonobo, dj shadow, kruder and dorfmeister, peace orchestra...

I could name way more random bands, but you should suggest what you like genre wise.

i have _Psyence Fiction_...haven't heard _War Stories_.

i think the best thing they've done is that _Ape shall never kill ape_ single.
I'll agree that Psyence is more of an acquired taste...as in if you like shadow, you'll like psyence, and if not, you won't...

War stories is more rock than sampling/hip hop...it's honestly a completely different sound than Psyence, and fairly far removed from Never, Never...

Their best might be contained in the "do androids dream of electric beats" series....which is rad.

_Endtroducing_ is really good, and i like the stuff that DJ Shadow lent to the Headz comps, but i think he ran out of steam.

another suggestion along these lines:

i'll second/third the recommendation for blue scholars. very solid pnw hiphop, similar to sweatshop union but not as blowhardy and better flow.

If you're into them, check out Common Market. Same DJ, different MC. Also awesome.
