good morning monkeys, going to get my bike back from the shop finally then gonna go do some riding and tree removal. but for now i have to be stuck at school all day, be safe out there monkeys.
Did a couple of rides over the weekend. Supposed to monitor a quarry today, not sure if they are going to shoot in the rain. We'll see. Then, this afternoon, I'm traveling to RI for the second phase of the project.
Happy Rainy Tuesday!! The weather this week is going to suck, but at least the weekend is looking nice...so far, anyway. Wife and I have two ROADIE events on the calendar this weekend (metric century and 75 miler), so good weather would be nice.
Back to work after a four day weekend. I've got work piled up to the ceiling, so that'll help pass the time quickly. After three days of MTB, I got out for a 9.5 mile run yesterday. Felt good.
God dammit, I'm fvcking fourth in seniority here and still can't hold the line I want. At least I get Christmas off, and I'll have 6 days off when the new bid takes effect, but it still pisses me off.

I have no idea what you just said, but I'm on board with your raw display of e-anger.
It was another long weekend of hurricane cleanup. My body is hurtin'. Stormy couple of days ahead, then a beautiful weekend forecasted. Looking forward to it.
Barely slept last night because my collar bone hurts so badly from the crash at Winter Park. The middle of the bone is really swollen and tender, plus the inside close to my neck seems high. I'm probably going to go get an xray later today, because things aren't right.
Other than that, back to Starbucks for free WiFi and job searching.
Good mornin Monkeys. It's nice to come to work, see one patient who's doing just fine, and then be done for the day! Oh, except I have to wait for my boss who is making the rounds at 4 other hospitals. Yay residency. Short week with the Warrior Dash to end it out, followed by SevenSprings the following weekend.
good weekend! some highlights included going to Canobie Lake w/ the kids after work on Friday, doing f-all on Saturday, logging a 20 miler on Sunday and then going to a pool party hosted across the street, and fishing w/ my kids yesterday. at one point Otis was bringing in a small sunfish (~5" or so) and a monster bass came out of nowhere and hit it. of course, the small hook was buried in teh sunfish, so there was no way to hook the bass, and he spit it and took off. Otis decided he wanted to toss the sunfish out again and wouldn't you know the damn fish got attacked again.
we switched to a tube and a plastic worm, but aside from me almost landing a good-sized bass (not the same one, but probably 2 lb at least - he spit the hook about 3' from shore), we got nuthin'.
i also did a short road ride/trail ride with my oldest son...first off-road ride on his new GT he got a couple weeks ago.
now, first day of school for both of them...Miles is off to middle school. damn, time flies.
Went up to Mammoth with my friend and this time didn't have to camp... He has a friend who lives up there. Also, slew one of my demons. My knee is still hurting a bit (and weak) from spraining it in Tahoe three weeks ago so most of the time I was up there I was using it as an excuse to bypass the drop on "Flow". Then, towards the end of the day my buddy had the GoPro on, facing backwards towards me, and I got the Camera Courage. Usually when I have done this drop in the past (two times up to that point) it was the whole stop, scope, build courage and then roll into it. This time though, we just went straight into it w/o stopping. It is amazing how easy that drop is considering how intimidating it looks.
Other things of note, Mammoth Brewing Double Nut Brown...
Also, the drive back was quite entertaining. When we were on Highway 14 up in the high desert near Mojave we were treated to quite a show. On the left side of the vehicle there was a great lightning storm and over on the right side we got a nice view of the wildfire that had started earlier in the day when a small prop-plane went down between there and Bakersfield.
Yesterday I did the inaugural ride with my son (he's 13mo old now) in the Bike Trailer. Picked up a used Chariot Cheetah on Craigslist last week for $200. Had my son behind me and my dog on the leash next to me... we rode from my house down to the lake, around the lake and back (all paved). Probably gonna do it again tonight after work.
Went looking for an example of the drop and ran across this one... Looks like it was posted by none other than our own Kazlx :
Morning! Happy Tuesday! Worked on prepping the house for painting all weekend, and now we are ready to paint the next weekend we're home. Won't be there this weekend because we'll be in WHISTLER Fri-Mon! WOOOHOOOO!!! I can't WAIT!
