Surving , weekend was OK nothing spectacular to report.

foggy , misty day so far. had to do a 1:25 minute commute today ( and all this week ) because I'm in training. commute that much sucks but it beats being in the office. and not to mention It means I have to drive it and can't ride my bike

'Morning. MBC and I got back from Orlando last night. Four days at a conference for me, then four days of vacationing for the two of us. My conference hotel room (Dolphin hotel) got upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. Apparently they needed rooms with two beds, so they gave me a one bed suite. It rawked.

I'm bummed that I missed two full weekends of Autumn MTB though.

Rob is every day an exam? that must suck.
Morning all. This Monday looks pretty good to me (boss on vacation today  ). Made two trips to the dump with the remains from the upstairs, cut the grass and worked on the house this weekend.

More or less we have at least one exam every week for about 10 of the 15 weeks of the semester. This week I've got one today, one tomorrow, one wednesday, two thursday, and a take home due friday. It's fun, eh?

Oh, we picked up climbing harnesses and shoes.

Good weekend. Did the annual Paranormal 6 hour race this weekend. It was tough, the ground was soft and muddy and the roots were super slick. I crashed a good 5 times, but I was lucky. One poor girl had to get hauled out in the meat wagon after probably breaking some ribs and my friend kirk broke his thumb. I managed 7 - 8 mile laps and took first in the solo category. My friend Justin teamed up with his 58 year old father and won the expert duo class, that was pretty bad ass.

Uhh...yeah. We need some actual instruction before we do that, ya know?

Actually, one of our friends from Mid Hudson Cycling Club knows a guy who just got his certification to lead and instruct climbs. Going to see if he wants to go out one day and do some teaching with us.

EMS had a bitchin sale this weekend, so that's what facilitated the purchase.

Yeah, we'll keep you in the loop if we can go with this guy. Report has it he'll take any chance to go out and climb, even if he does a little teaching on the side.

Actually, it was only $120 including shoes, harness, biner, belay device, and chalk bag. Not a bad deal.

Oh, and we may be heading up to Overlook next weekend. Supposedly the '07 stuff will be in, if you want to chat with Billy.

Not to brag or anything but the Paranormal is the best 6 hour race going. Starts at 4:00, Costumed riders get a few minutes head start. They play movies for the kids, bonfire and beer for everyone else. It is a party as much as a race.

We have two more regular races this year that have a 5-6 hour enduro category. I think I will end the year off on a bright spot and skip them.

I dunno if he's an icer guy or not. We can likely find out though. Maybe we'll add Kathy to the weekly ride e-mail (she's the one who knows the guy).

Oh, we went for a night ride too. Want to ride some weekend?

We went to Overlook this weekend to have a wheel fixed and press a headset into a frame. Nothing too big. Might go back next weekend.

Good Morning!

Spent the weekend helping a friend do some rennovation work to his living room. We took up some old vinyl and I put down some new hardwood flooring for him. I wanted to ride Sunday, but awoke to drizzling rain and puddles everywhere. Bummer.

Let's see.....The Panthers lost, the Tar Heels lost another game AND their head coach, and the Redskins fell apart against Indy---sad day for my favorite teams.
