Sounds wonderful. Living alone can be a great thing...Hey Monkeys...my weekend was busy. Moved in to a new rental yesterday. First time living alone in 14 years. A little weird but great still. The new place is on the beach. Woke up this morning to coffee on the deck watching the sun rise over the ocean. I'll take pics soon and post. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come...finally.
Congrats Westy!!Went to a friends wedding Saturday then did a 5 hour enduro race Sunday morning tired, hungover and dehydrated. Seemed to be a good plan because it was the first race I have won in over 3 years.
Kick ass! Way to go, Westy! Get any good schwag?Went to a friends wedding Saturday then did a 5 hour enduro race Sunday morning tired, hungover and dehydrated. Seemed to be a good plan because it was the first race I have won in over 3 years.
Does the builder know you were going to do that?'morning monkeys.
They weren't supposed to start drywalling my house until this morning, so I was going to wire my ethernet and speakers into my house on Saturday.
I show up Saturday morning, and there's a bunch of workers there, only one of whom spoke English, putting up drywall like madmen.
I ended up stopping them, made them rip down one wall, and sent them all home . Couldn't wire the 2nd bedroom because they had already drywalled it and I wasn't going to make them rip down quite that much stuff. I did, however, run 10 lines in the living room, bedroom and office. I have a different plan for wiring the kitchen. I ran stereo speakers in the living room and ran wire for the porch.
All in all, a productive weekend.
Got a nice pint glass for preregistering and won a pair of Eggbeater pedals and a free month of coaching LOL. Like I need a coach to figure out how to be faster, work less, drink less, actually eat vegetables once in a while and try riding your bike more than once a week.Kick ass! Way to go, Westy! Yes.Does the builder know you were going to do that?
My fitness level is down a bit since my Chicago trip, I was hungrier this race. All the other races this year I approached them just thinking I would ride for fun then being pissed at myself afterwards because I thought I could have done better. This time I was just there to win. The last third of the race I really started to struggle, my legs were cramping up big time but instead of quiting or resting I just suffered through it.awesome job!
do you feel stronger even thou you did squat for riding for (?) weeks due to chicago?
I think I was overtraining before I had my forced 5 weeks off the bike.
It can also suck major ass at times too.Sounds wonderful. Living alone can be a great thing...
I wished it would get here already.I love riding in the fall.

I don't mind living alone, but at times it's nice to have someone else around. I find it's really easy to let things pile up and get messy when I don't have anyone to worry about offending. It can also suck major ass at times too.
Yeah it sort of sucks. She has pancreatic cancer. When she was diagnosed she was given a month to live. She's already outlived the initial diagnosis by at least 6 months, a real blessing to all, and has been very strong throughout. But she's begun a rapid decline in the last week or so. She's going into Hospice care in the next week or two. We don't expect her to make it for much longer. It's been really hard for my wife and her family. She was such a strong and vibrant woman.jdschall, bummer to hear of yr grandmom's health condition. good luck to the wife for the next 12 weeks!

We took that trial so many times and I've always made sure people take that shute slow because it's loose after it. How did you manage to lose it on that section anyway?Morning.
Great weekend was had. I'll have a ride report up as soon as everything finishes uploading.
Today I'm sore sore sore. Crashed pretty good at the beginning of the ride on Saturday, and I'm feeling it still. Kind of suck, but it happens.
Long week this week, exam on friday and the usual loads of class. Fun eh?
I dunno. I took it exactly the same way I've taken it each and every time I've done it. Never washed out before. The front tire just washed out from underneath me and I superman'd.We took that trial so many times and I've always made sure people take that shute slow because it's loose after it. Yow...you crashed pretty hard. Major props for getting up and killing the rest of the ride though :biggrin:I dunno. I took it exactly the same way I've taken it each and every time I've done it. Never washed out before. The front tire just washed out from underneath me and I superman'd.
The shoulder and wrist hurt, but the ribs are the biggest pain in the butt.
