Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning. Did nothing interesting this weekend besides drink Franziskaner Weiss Beer. Hey it's October, why not? And my wife and I went for a hike. She's really starting to slow down. This week is the start of her third trimester. She just can't seem to find enough air to breathe. That thing's gonna hatch before I know it.

Also we found out that her grandmother is signing over the title to her '04 GMC Envoy to us. Her health is rapidly failing, (that's another story:() and she's trying to liquidate her assets before she goes. It wouldn't be my first choice of new vehicles but hey it's free! My wife is going down to NC to pick it up next weekend.
Bummer about grandma, but good luck to you and your wife during her last 12 weeks.

She's doing pretty well. She's not real comfortable on the bike anymore. She's just taking short jaunts around town. Geometry issues are getting her down. I'm thinking about getting her a stem with a pretty tall angle to give her a more upright riding position. I'm not sure if that would help much at this point. She's starting to get knees to the belly on each pedal stroke. Apparently that doesn't feel too good. Go figure.

Nope...I can imagine it doesn't feel good. I was truly lucky to be able to ride as long as I was able to and I can definitely say that it helped me to "bounce back" easier post-delivery. Just keep going for hikes & walks and being supportive...that's really what's important these days!

Afternoon all!

Had a wonderful weekend riding, eating, drinking and chilling with some very cool monkeys in VT.

Today I have off of school and I have managed to be ultra-productive. I have nearly all of my housework done, 90% of my laundry done (including folded & put away), baby is napping and I am about to enjoy a delicious cup of tea!

Good afternoon all.

Friday: played a show in smAlbany with Metalion and Dropdead. Metalion = Montreal punks who exclusively play 80's falsetto metal. They were amazing! Their set included a cover pf Judas Priest's 'Hell Bent For Leather'. Dropdead is, even after 10 years, amazing. Kind of Napalm Death meets Seige. These later gents and ladies stayed at my house that night - in by 2 am and up by 6 am so they could make it to their next show in Cleveland....uggggh.

Saturday: 4 Hours of sleep + cold + continued back probs + downhilling in the wet at Jiminy = exhausting but good! Went with my friend/race partner Keith, who was also hung over, so it worked out that way. Only fell twice but felt kind of cautious - arching my back still inflames it...fell asleep at dinner at a neighbor's house later that evening, how embarassing!

Sunday: sleep, sleep then chores, then worked on (of course) bikes for several hours - changed out 2 sets of brake pads, 1 BB, some pedals, set up my Steelhead for street riding and cleaned the sliver mud that is Jiminy Peak off the rig.

Today = rejoin the gym and ride street now that the light is fading fast.
