Must be ahouse hunting day around here cause that's what Justine and myself did yesterday. Got tipped off to a house down the road that a guy I knew in high school owns. He got into a little bit of a cocaine problem and ended of getting his house foreclosed on. It's not on the market and I got a tip from a real estate friend of mine who knew the guy as well. They want 150K for it, and it sits on about an acre and a half of land. Nice location right by a lake. We're going to check it out this afternoon a little more thoroughly.
On a sidenote: Fell asleep last night sitting upright on the couch.......so weird. My wife came in a woke me up and I was thinking it was like 11:00 or so, but it was actually around 3:00 a.m.

Good one Doug!douglas said:Hardly anyone showed up for the Dalton race, I has the lead out of all the 3 lappers until I had all sorts of bike issues........after I got rolling again, I went slow until my buddy caught me(only other person in my age group), I followed him around the last lap, tried to nicely give him some pointers, then I passed him at the sprint before the finish...........BUT dumbass me, I stopped just before the finish...and he passed me back for the win! (in our age group)

Morning all! Nice and cool here this morning...I had to put on pants and a sweatshirt as we opened up the windows last night and it was in the upper 40s 
Didn't get my cooking done yesterday so it's today's project...my house currently smells like italian sausage and tomatos....mmmmmmm.
Had a nice ride with a couple of new chicks. One is VERY skiddish and the other has some skills that just need refining and once her endurance and confidence are up, I will take her on the harder trails. We had a good time though. Off to stir the sauce and start my soup!!!

Good morning. Feeling better today as I got in a ride yesterday. Went to Nam with a few friends. Hit the spider drop for the first time and landed it smoothly. Got my job at the machine shop back for this school year and classes started today, so I will be busy now with school and such. Thinking of bringing my steelhead out and making it a street bike for the school year. Maybe hitting up Jiminy saturday, gotta see what the schedule brings.

Naah......your total income would be lower per year than where you live now. Housing is cheaper, but the pay scale isn't what you woud see in a big city either.hooples3 said:igh: $150k i wish!! Im in the wrong area

but...it's really hard to compare eastern riding to western riding....the scale of the grunts up vs the descents down, and accompanying vistas, is something not attainable in the east. at least that i've seen. i really do need to get to tsali/pisgah at some point.

Morning. Dropped my daughter off at daycare this morning and went grocery shopping. WooHoo. 
I'm going to pick the kid up in a few minutes and then go out to lunch. After lunch, she has a book club party this afternoon to attend at the library. Free cake and ice cream!!! Tonight I'm tuning the DH bike and packing for Mt. Snow. Headed to VT. tomorrow morning.

October 21-23 - I'll have to make a mental note of it and pencil it in just in case. 
Four days this week of riding to work....a different bike each day It has been 2 months since I filled my car with gas.
