Yay, I get to work 15 hours today!
Why do multi-vitamins smell so bad? 
i went dhing for the first time ever yesterday

Have some very boring work on tap for today, but also some moderately interesting work as well. Gotta do some exploring to see what it would cost me to move most of the parts from my old POS mongoose to a Kona hardtail frame. If the fork will make the swap (i.e. the steerer is long enough), then I should be able to do it for pretty cheap.

It's beautiful out, I don't want to be here. Came in an hour early so I can leave an hour early and go swimming.
Need to get a couple new rims for my road bike, along with new tires. Flatted my rear sew-up & put a good sized ding in the rim last week, and I'd rather just switch over to a tubed system, so I figure I'll build up some really cheap rims on my existing hubs.
Anyone have any particular suggestions on inexpensive road rims?

I went for a good ride on my single speed last night - not on dirt, on pavement and down stairs and off small loading docks and crap and just pedaled a bunch. I was reading yesterday about Jeremy Demers - the Evil sponsored rider who passed away the other day (anyone know how he died yet?) and it really made me want/need to get out on my bike last night. I never met the guy, but man he sure touched the lives of a lot of riders it seems. Sad that he's gone - hopefully he's in a better place.
It is gorgeous out today - man so tempting to cut out and get a ride in before my date - but I got a ton of work to cram in to the day today.

Hey, thanks for the pic. I was wondering what it looked like. I used to be immune to it, but I think I got some last week mowing the lawn. Bummer. I hear you can lose immunity as you age. Now I have to find where it in my yard and kill it.ROCKLAND said:

Good morning.
Yesterday was busy. I rotated the tires on my 4Runner, washed it in and out. Mowed the yard, did a little work, and went for a ride. The trail I ride has been changing alot due to the rain (which I hate). This is the second ride in a row that a rooted rut grabbed my front tire and pulled me down. Some how I managed to nearly rip all the skin off my shin. Oh Joy!
Today I've got boring work to do, then a doctors appoint, and finally I'm hoping to catch another ride.

Incidentally, everyone is allergic to poison ivy if it gets into a cut or other abrasion in your skin (dry, cracked skin will get you poison ivy in a hurry).
Poison ivy is about the only thing I'll use nasty weed killers such as Round Up for.

Yes! In July we only had 5 days with no rain. This lake where I ride was up so much it flooded the trail in several spots. I don't remember the exact footage it was up, but it was way too much. Now there is a bunch of erosion you have to deal with. I was going to take some pics of our flat lands down here but I ordered the wrong size Pelican Case. I got it Monday, and it's 1 freaking 1/8th of an inch too shallow. Dang it! And I'm not riding with out one.stosh said:
