So how was everyone's Monday and Monday night? I worked a little bit late last night, but I also got to attend convocation for the School of Medicine and School of Dental Medicine yesterday afternoon. It was pretty cool and we have some very talented future doctors and dentists who will be graduating in 2007 (the class of 2007 hosts the convocation for the class of 2008).

Another beautiful day in CT - who has riding plans for today/tonight?

Is everyone getting in on the new Mallet C Ridemonkey Raffle? I just put my photo up (Thanks to IAB for taking it).

Slacking at work
Went and chilled out with my sister and some of her friends last nite, good times. Today is the last day of nice weather before it gets super hot and humid, so maybe some people will get off their asses and go for a ride?

Haven't been riding much lately, but was on vacation in North Carolina all last week, which was awesome.. Managed to destroy my rear tire and rim on the trip, though. Oh well.

Other then that, life is good :thumb:

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Mornin'! Just had our new fridge delivered & installed...damn I hate waiting. They said they would deliver between 7:15-9:15am and they arrived right at 9am!!! Oh well, now I have to wait for Earl to run the H2O line so we can have water & ice in it.

Went for a ride last night (Spier Falls) and it kicked my ass. We really pushed ourselves up the hill and did a nice long ride in about 2.5 hours. (almost as far as we rode with the Jackalopes when they visited  ) Tonight I will be working on my Jekyll build-up as I finally got my bottom bracket and picked up the new frame. We also have a couple of wheels to build so it's gonna be a busy night doin' bike maintenance. I doubt we'll get a ride in, but I may try to squeeze one in 'cause it's SO beautiful outside!!!

I haven't got the space :( I am gonna have to delete some old stuff later today and upload pics of me workin' on building it up :D Still waiting for my crankset to arrive :mumble: so I will have to scrounge up a set from another bike in the meantime!

Sidenote: I REALLY need to get some new brakes for it...I hate the Magura Clara's that are on it!

What's wrong with the Claras?

Does the new photo gallery give us more space to host our pics? I had to delete my Dalton pics to make room for new ones and that sucked - now my posts in that thread are pic-less. :(

G'morning all. I got the wife on her bike for the first time this season last evening. :thumb: First ride? It's a long story and I've heard it's mostly my fault, but suffice it to say she's back in the saddle. We rode a pretty casual pace for a couple of miles so she could find her skills and confidence again. My goal is to whip her butt into shape before a possible October Kingdom Trails trip.

I'm headaing out again tonight for a moderate evening group ride followed by a more brisk night ride. :thumb:

Sweet Bikegeek! That is super cool to hear that your wife is back on her bike.

I have a dinner date on Thursday night. The woman I'm meeting informed me that she went on a nice bike ride with her son on Sunday - so at least I know she owns a bike and rides a bit! :)

Good f'n morning yo. I had a run in with a rude bitch this morning. First she was rude at 7 - 11 and then she started yelling out the window of her car because she was too stupid to take 1 of 30 opportunities to pull out. I phucking hate people. :mumble:

Cool - it works. Ugly, but effective. I used one several times when I installed disc brakes on Julie's bike.

Let us know how it goes ... you big pimp, you ;)

Was at the bank the other day, and dug my license out of my wallet to hand to this drop dead gorgeous girl at the counter. She asked, "Oh, do you ride?" - I was utterly confused as to where she got that idea, until I realized that I have an Evil Bikes sticker in my wallet.

So she goes off talking about how much her brother likes to ride and how she's been getting into it and blah blah blah ...my life partner and I...

...doh!

Well, I'm off the market for now, but if you PM me your phone number I'll give it to her and let her know you were pretty excited about talking to her :D

Ha! I am so much the anti-pimp it is not even funny Stephan! But hopefully the dinner will go well and the conversation willl flow as freely in person as it has on the phone so far. :)

yes and I"m a little confused as to how it is installed.
Two sides to it, one has a little ball that fits in there, one doesn't. Housing pushes up against the non-ball side. Bare cable runs around the back of the little wheel, through the ball, and into your derailleur.

Easy :)

Free flowing conversation is the essence of pimp-osity :)

Good luck!
