Has anyone ever tried them? I've always had good luck with EBC's but want to give these a try since I have 2 pairs sitting in front of me. Are they worth it?

ony of my buddies just picked up a set about a week ago. So far he likes them - not sure if their any better then anything else yet but no worse.
I just put some on my bike, only had 2 days riding on them so far.
Initial impressions are they are not as grabby as the shimano pads, but they may need more time to bed in.

I tried them with my mono 6 ties, they were great, they lasted two weeks in whistler with out getting glazed over, and after i was done with whistler i used them in mammoth. Even at the end of this three week long 6+ hours a day biking they still had plenty of life in them, great pads superior grip and reliability.
