that's why we drink it here
Looks like it cleared today. Between that and my last paycheck I'm doing pretty well.
I've been out of work for 3 weeks and I have more money in the bank than when I left. Looks like I'll be able to afford all that gas after all.

The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate. If we spend it at Walmart, the money will go to China . If we spend it on gasoline, the money will go to the Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go to India . If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala . If we purchase a good car, it will go to Japan . If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. The only way to keep the money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed, beer and tattoos since these are the only products still produced in the USA . Thank you for your help and please support the US .

You are so wrong there. I only drink good American made beer, mostly made in Vermont.
I drink mostly American beers, the best of which (IMO) come from my own brewery. I'll grab an import or two now and then, but even with domestic brews, where do you think the barley and hops come from?

China LOANED us the money. That's how we'll fix the credit crisis, by borrowing money.

edit: I put mine in the bank. I am not in debt anymore, so I already buy the things I really want. I'll probably use it to start a Roth IRA.

Ours just hit today and we were planning on paying some bills with it, but all this talk about beer has got me thinking that maybe we should buy $1200 worth of beer with it. That ought to be enough beer to get us through June.

I have been trying to think about how to spend ours. My wife wants to put half towards lasic.

I'm thinking about putting it into landscaping our house. Ill be able to support the local nursery, and in turn support their local supplier. And then that should be an investment by adding value to our house.

I didn't do direct deposit this year since I changed banks and was to lazy to set it up new account information on TurboTax... mine will be here maybe in June. I'm going to use it to buy a plane ticket to Anchorage. :)

I'm not quite familiar with how they're doing this. If you filed electronically with direct deposit when you did your taxes they'll submit the relief check electronically as well?

You aren't guaranteed to get $600.
I got $300.
Its going to my HOA for my annual insurance premium.
Yay...

$300 for the HOA?!?

WTF?
$250 annually for my homeowner's insurance premium through the HOA.

I pay about $100/month towards my HOA.
I think they spend it on hookers and blow...

But I'm not complaining, it helped me out right now, even if I do end up getting taxed on it later.
