I'm going to build a 29er and was wondering which frame may be best and why. I'm going to make it a 2x9 with a Fox fork and I'm thinking of going with a Velocity Blunt wheelset.
is that the wheelset J&B had on sale recently? A mechanic at our shop picked up a set and they've been working great for him. they look pretty dope too
No, these were handbuilt to order using Velocity Blunt rims laced with DT Champion spokes and just some XT hubs to keep the cost down. I used a 20mm thru axle up front for stiffness.
I'm running a 32/20. It's not as flat as you might think. The best trails are built on old phosphate mines and rock quarries. There are plenty of short but very steep climbs.
