Good Morning Monkeys.

How the hell is everyone today?

Talked to my soon to be new boss yesterday afternoon and she's psyched that I accepted the job offer. Makes you feel good to know that you are wanted doesn't it?

Had hockey last night with the kids. First Connor practiced, then we grabbed some slices of pizza and then Liam's team skated from 7:50 to 8:40. I helped with Liam's teams practice in addition to leading my team's session earlier. It was fun to just be a helper because then you get to goof around a bit with the kids and take lots of shots on the goalies.

Picked up a C-Dale seatpost and some brake levers from a guy in Mass last night for my bike that is in process. Funny thing was he was the same guy that bought a set of flat pedals from me about two weeks ago and we didn't even realize it. We coulda just done a parts swap! Doh! :bonk:

So what's new with the rest of you Monkeys??

Good morning!! So Mark, do you have a starting date for your new job?

Not much going on here. I grilled some thin sliced pork cutlets and veggies on the grill last night after my gym session. I wish we had more...that was some good eatin'! Now that post-work riding will be reduced to a minimum for the next five months, I guess I'll have to work legs back into the weight training rotation. Goddamn do I hate working legs.

g'morning, all. i'm on the anesthesiology service the next two weeks, kinda fun. intubation is hard :( . had to sprint across the hospital for a "code blue" (ie, patient about to croak, cpr time, etc.) only to find 20 people already there.

Morning all, nothing eventfull going on here. I've got a question to but out there though: How do you make spinning on a trainer more enjoyable/interesting?
thats tough, only things I can think of

1)throw a dvd in the TV
2)invite hot mudnunnies over to do a group spin

Morning y'all.

Facing what is to be a boring day.
I hear ya......the last two days have been draggin' like an anchor. Today is a little better, though. One of my bosses did an end-around on my production & delivery schedule today and completely screwed up everything I had planned out. Now I have to get on the horn and re-arrange deliveries for 4 different contractors. I dread making those calls this morning---they're not gonna be happy.

I've been meaning to get around to doing some trailwork this week, but one thing or another has stopped me so far, but I really, really plan on making it out there today to get some drainage areas cleared out and flowing well. I did, however goof off around the house yesterday on the bike--doing wheelies and stuff for about an hour or so.

Oh, I ordered another pair of Pearl Izumi running shoes for $30 last night...regularly $85. The ones I have now are starting to come apart.

Gotta love Sierra Trading Post.

Hmmmm.

Put in a MTB DVD maybe?
Watch an NHL game while Spinning

Or doug's idea of inviting over some hotties to spin with ya might work too.

Congrats on the new job MMcG! Are you still working for the dark side in development?

Things are busy weird around here ... still doing my old job and training for my new job.

Oh yeah, the Cardinals won again. A 2-1 lead isn't much, but it is better than getting swept in a World Series (stupid Red Sox ).

So much for the American League being such a superior league.
The number of interleague wins, all-star game wins and world series wins over the last 10 years or so have been very much in favor of the AL. This series isn't anywhere near over yet. The Cards and Tofu Tony could go back into their late-season slump.

Good morning all! Fun day of lessons for me. It's spirit week so we all had to wear our favorite teams jersey. I decided it was windpants, bike socks & bike jersey day. I love not having to dress up for work  Not sure what tomorrow is, but it's bound to be fun!

Last night we had our new dining room hutch delivered and I got it all dusted and cleaned. Tonight I'll be putting stuff in it and re-organizing my dining room a little. Then, it's pilates & exercise ball, dinner and bathtime with Syd.

I watch DVDs, news or TV when I am riding the rollers in my basement.

Out of my mind, back in a moment.
Morning. Yesterday's exam went up, with less than desirable results. Subsequently I'm cranky today.

Class, break, lab, break, class/exam today. Sonofa...

Tomorrow a pair of exams then I'm off for a 3 day weekend downstate.

Gooooooooood Mornin' Viet Naaaaaaaaaaahhhhm!

Today's a doozy. Right now in the office making up a couple of maps for a meeting later. Then I head out to the rock gym to work with a group for a few hours. Afterwards, I skip over the university campus for a quick meeting and then waaaay up north for a big meeting. As if you cared. :)

Because I've felt like **** the past few days, I'm gonna fast today. No food. Just water. It does a body good.

Yep, I'll still be doing development work.

Good to see that the World Series will be a good one rather than a sweep!

Tonights dirt ride looks like a rain out. Can't decide whether to go running or road riding.
C - Watch the WS, those options suck.

I can't believe it's only Wednesday, pretty sure I've already done a week's worth of work.

I'm riding tonight, regardless of weather.

Morning. Nothing to report. Trying to decide if I want to sell my DH bike to buy a new AM ride. *sigh* :(
tigg - why not sell it to buy something All Mountain but with an adjustable travel AM bike. One that would allow you to use it as a trail bike, yet still ride it as a DH bike on those few occassions you hit Jiminy Peak or whatnot?

Perhaps a bike like that Commencal Mini-DH or something along those lines.

Yeah, that's a thought. But, I find myself more interested in 24-hour/endurance racing these days than DH (Doh!), I'd be more inclined to get something that has 4"-5" (maybe even 6") of travel but is built up light enough for racing. As opposed to something that might have 5"-6"-7" that is built up burly enough for DH. Does that make sense? Plus I'd only get enough for it (it's an '02) to fund about 1/2 of something new... Decisions, decisions....

Had a good ride yesterday evening. Doing a night ride tonight.

Couldn't find a Marz pump adapter, so I went to Performance. They charged me $4 for what I have seen for $15, so I was happy.

Good morning.

Sell the DHer and then look for something slightly used that will fit your bill for All Mountain riding and 24 hour/endurance events. What happened to the Locomoto??

It's like a disease you know...this endurance racing thing ;) I am actually (gulp) planning on 4 solos next year.

I didn't like the HA on the Loco. Or something... For general riding on the terrain we ride up here, it was just too twitchy. I rode it at the kingdom trails and decided it wasn't for me. I need something a little more slack.
