I didn't like the HA on the Loco. Or something... For general riding on the terrain we ride up here, it was just too twitchy. I rode it at the kingdom trails and decided it wasn't for me. I need something a little more slack.
Cool thing about some of those Commencals is that you can actually change HT angle through use of a pinch bolt system.

What AM rides are you leaning towards? What about that new 2007 Jamis model you were thinking about earlier? Still a lot of coinage??

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Hopefully...
Hardcore24 - Culter, NY (June)
Either Pats Peak or Killington (July)
Great Glen, NH or Allemuchy, NJ (Aug.)
Churn & Burn (Sept.)

I'd LOVE to do Old Pueblo again, but I know I won't be ready in February and I don't want to spend all the $ travelling, etc. if I am not going to be ready.

I like the looks of that Commencal Meta 5.5 numero2! Hmmmm? And yeah, I'm still looking at the the Jamis XAM1 as well as another ride that I'm currently drooling over!!

I want to do whatever Churn n Burn category I'll have the best chance of winning free beer, and it looked like two-man was my best shot. Time for Splat to man up. :D

I just don't have the time to train to get where I want to be.

who cares where you want to be. You'll still school all of us.
For me it's not about who I can be faster than but pushing my limits. Right now my limits are well under 24 hours although I know I can do much better if I have the time and reason to prepare.

OK Mr. Fancy-pants-new-job-money-bags...wannna float me a loan? :brows:

New job yes. Money Bags - no. the new job will help, but I've got a long road ahead of me to get out of this crater I'm in.

But surprisingly those IBIS frames are priced pretty damned competitively compared to their boutique brand competitors. I was surprised at the price actually. I thought they'd be quite a bit more than they are (which ain't cheap, but still not too bad considering).
