Are you going to go for the storm paddle pictured too? I just found a supplier of western red cedar. I think I may carve a paddle or two this winter.

Yeah, I think CLC's Arctic Hawk kit is based on the same boat.

I am planning to make a couple of paddles as well. My buddy made a couple of those style of paddles, one in a "storm" length and a couple more in standard lengths. I paddled his boat with both types and like the traditional style better.

Funny side note: his first version of that paddle he carved out of douglas fir! It was one heavy-ass paddle! LOL!
