honestly, i would still stick with a HD cam. we just lowered our prices for all of our cams, so retail for our entry level HDD HD cam is now $599 (street price from $539 and up.)
we have a dual SDHC card based cam that is around $579 retail.
for $386, the MG670 isnt a bad deal. it takes good video and upconverts to 1080p. plus it has a microsd card slot as well.
19hrs is more then enough for 95% of the consumer camcorder customers. the quality can also be stepped down to hold up to 100hrs of "internet" quality video.
it doesnt take great stills (832x624,) but then again, its not a camera. it does hold 9999 pics tho.
