i 've been using the fsa pig dh pro sealed bearing headset happily. cheap and indestructible.

but i need a reducer headset for my new ride from 1.5 to 1 1/8, and sadly fsa doesn't make this (or i have not found it) in a sealed bearing unit which is a must here.

any recommendations please for a cheap and durable replacement?

i'd like a zero stack height.

FSA does make a nice zero-stack conversion headset.

I know about 8 people that have had it, myself included, and it's quite good.

The only trick is the o-ring seal. The best way to install it is to put the o-rings around your head-tube, get the headset all done up tight, and then the last step is to snap them into place. If you do it right it's actually quite a good seal.

Angular contact bearings and a good price as well.

CC XX. I've used the 1.5, the reducer, and the tapered versions. Nice headset. The first one lasted 3 seasons of ridiculous abuse (hack rider, huck oriented, North Shore mountains, Whistler) before the bearings started getting creaky. No problems with the others at all (granted, they are newer).
