I need some helmet advice. My father has a very large head - about 25 1/4 inches around. He is looking at the Louis Garneau line and the Tirreno line for a new helmet. The largest they run is 24 1/2.
Any suggestions?

Obviously he's got to try them on, but I believe the Garneau helmets run big and they have that adjustment in the back/neck that makes them larger/smaller and fit well. Good luck!

Your father will probably have to use Bell/Giro's extra large helmets. They are the only helmets which accomodate 25 inch heads. The Bell model is the Sequoia and Giro is Atlas. The old name for Bell used be "Kinghead", so at least they picked less obvious names.
