Name is Allen. I just recently started mountain biking and enjoy the hell out of it. Helps to get rid of the spare tire as well.

I am from Chesterfield, VA. I mostly ride in Pocahontas State Park. Just wanted to say hey, and maybe see a few of you on the trails.

    Hi Allen!

I'm Mike Dart also from Chesterfield, VA. I had a hand along with many others in building the trails at PSP. I'm stoked that you are enjoying them! I'm biased but I think they are pretty sweet!

    Yeah, let's ride sometime!!

Check out http://cyclingcentralva.org/forums/ for more folks to ride with.

Dart- for some reason I can't quote you. But yes, I love the trails. I am definately put to the test each time I ride. You helped make me realize how out of shape I was. haha. I ride the trails over by Qualla Road. Today was my first on the blue trail. Paths are kick ass though, so thanks!

Yeh, that is me. Who are you on that site?

I am a member of vadriven. I am never serious.

I appreciate the warm welcome! I mostly ride during the week after work but since it is the time where we lose 2 minutes every day, weekday riding is coming to an end. But Most weekends I am good.

You can blame my friend Mark for the layout on the blue trail. He built it when he was in top XC racing condition as an interval workout for the first mile and a half. Up and down every hill he could find.

He's paying for it now ten years later.

Most all of the cut logs next to the trail were from us clearing the trails after hurricane Isabel trashed the place a few years ago.

I'd be good after this weekend hooking up for a ride. 9/6 or after.

I would be up for a ride as well, since I haven't met anyone from here or cyclingcentralva yet.... If there's a lot of people, in a few weeks would be best for me as well, got a little contruction project going on at the homestead I need to finish up.

I tried signing up, but for some reason I cannot see the image on my work computer. I will have to wait till I get home to sign up for that one.

This rain sucks. PSP trails are closed. :(

Yeah, the rule of thumb is 24hrs. closed for every inch of rain. It's not a perfect system. They should be good to ride by Sunday I would think.
