So forgive me If I can't take you seriously right now.Right now, you look at the glass half full, saying everything is going great.
Im looking at the glass and im thinking the glass is only filled 1/4th. Theres a guy next to it with a can of milk, trying to fill it up, but hes standing on a boat and theres some bad weather.
Now this weather is not the **** storm Fox news claims it to be, but its not a sunny day on a flat ocean either.
To be honest, Holland isnt any better... But were just small enough to stay under the radar most of the time.At least we don't live in Holland!
lol..... I kid I'm sure Holland is nice, when it's not underwater.

wow, just wow...
get your kids out of the public school system! its SOCIALIST and you CANNOT let them be indoctrinated!!!!says a guy w/out any kids in said school system
Actually, can we privatize the school systems? I'm sick of all of the breeders in my neighborhood reaching into my pocket each year to the tune of $4k. If they want to procreate, they should be ready to cough up the $15k/kid/year to educate their little brats. Personal responsibility and all...get your kids out of the public school system! its SOCIALIST and you CANNOT let them be indoctrinated!!!!
but you know most of the won't pony up, and the kids won't get educated. Surfs up serf!Actually, can we privatize the school systems? Less competition for jobs in another 20 years? Sounds good to me.but you know most of the won't pony up, and the kids won't get educated. Surfs up serf!
Come on dude, have you forgotten where we live ? This is NASCAR country. "Dale Jr. didn't graduate from High School and look how good he's doing."says a guy w/out any kids in said school system
absolutely. study the test results of the kids who are bussed to "better" schools...the change is negligable at best (speaking specifically of guilford county schools where i have reviewed the stats for a recent research project i did in a community problem solving class i took...i have no idea if those numbers are online or not)Every kid deserves an education.
mastering four left turns in a row still hasn't won him to many races."Dale Jr. didn't graduate from High School and look how good he's doing."

why should my kid have to be at the bus stop at 6am to be bussed 45 minutes across town when there is a school 1.5 miles away? i could understand the betterment of society angle if bussing actually improved opportunity but it's merely a bandaid on a much bigger problem.

this is a little off topic but related to the need for cops in schools....all hell has broken loose at one of our schools this week. bomb threats, rapes, guns/drugs and fights all in the same week. it seems the new principle (sp? can never remember which principle/al it is for schools ) has yet to show any backbone and the kids are walking all over him.Thankfully I got out of my school district when I did. The local PD now has several officers on duty at the high school campus at all times.
"It's spelled principal because he's your 'pal'."principle (sp? can never remember which principle/al it is for schools )
haha..that's awesome! thanks. i remember learning to spell "friends" as "fri" the "end" of your "friend" ...that's a little weird."It's spelled principal because he's your 'pal'."
Wow...there's a memory from 2nd grade...fml....
you act like that stuff is abnormal. that stuff happened at my school too, and it happens at a lot of other schools. I remember my first day of high school I saw kids smoking crack out of a lightbulb in the bathroom. I saw a kid get knifed, and somebody else get thrown through a plate glass window. Last 2 months of my freshman year we had bomb threats every week. by my junior year we had to go through metal detectors on a daily basis. one day a kid in one of my classes just stopped showing up. few days later we found out he was killed in a drive-by shooting. and its gotten MUCH worse since I graduated in 2002.this is a little off topic but related to the need for cops in schools....all hell has broken loose at one of our schools this week. bomb threats, rapes, guns/drugs and fights all in the same week.
