On Saturday I rode a trail I've known about for years but rarely ride.
Its usually an overgrown mess, but someone has been busy hacking back the poison oak and bramble, the trail was clear! The trail is an awesome 4 mile descent thats straight up old school. No big stunts, no huge jumps, just threading the needle on cliffside singletrack and hauling a$$. So fun, too bad it soo fast its over in 17minutes
I wrecked myself pretty bad trying to launch a rock outcropping (on my trailbike no less) Some nasty rock grabbed my front wheel.
But here's the amazing part: there was no one on it. Not a single car at the trailhead. No eco-nazi, Sierra clubber hating on me, no stopping and saying "two more coming up" No one. I love having the trail to myself and it almost never happens now. Too bad it takes a 4x4 to shuttle it or it'd be in regular rotation....
