Just before you think the gate is going to drop, you yell "Look! It's Pamela Anderson!" The other racers turn their heads, thinking they're about to see some flesh, and the gate drops. You sprint away to victory.
Lots and lots of gate starts(see MB's post). Gate starts are all muscle. You may not need huge muscles, but the ones you have need to be quick. I used to go to Sky High about 4 or more days a week. You do not need the gate up to practice... just get in the gate with some friends and race.
