Hope it's OK to ask this in this thread without derailing it. It's to be used to convert my Bulb to 12mm.

I wan't to get hold of a 12mm axle that is 10mm at the dropouts. I know Dabomb and Woodman uses these for some of their hubs but I don't know where to get one without getting the hub.
Anybody who knows?

While we're derailing away, i've got another proII question.. does anyone know what the thread pitch is on the bolts for the bolt-up 135x10mm hub? Is it a standard pitch?

I just got one, and while the hub's light... the bolts sure aren't. Wouldn't mind replacing them with ti. Tried my hadley ones but the pitch is different. :(

why did the Pro2 hub come about? what are the differences between it and the bulb hub ?
It now runs an alloy freehub body which saves a fair bit of weight over the titanium or stainless ones you could get with the bulb. It also offers a few more axle configs, like the bolt-up, which i'm pretty sure wasn't an option with the bulb. Beyond that (and a few smaller changes) it's just a product update... it replaces the bulb altogether, which should phased out in a little while.

The Bulb can be configured to 12mm. I've got the kit.

E-mail Hope about the pitch if nobody here comes up with the answer, or go to a hardware specialist and find a nut that fits and check what that one is called.

I have a bulb as well.......thought about picking up the pro II when another wheelset needs to be built. The only things I can find different between the 2 is possibly the seals in the hub & the fact that's it can be converted from QR/10mm/12mm and has a Saint axle option. The bulb as far as I knew of was either QR or 12mm (which I also have converted it to).

They are pretty nice hubs for the price. I've had mine for a while now and nothing but good from it and when I did have an issue (while trying to change out the axle to 12mm) Hope took care of it for me.

i tried to do the mod, bought the conversion kit thru BTI, and got a bunch of stuff that i simply wasnt able to get to work, sent it off to two different mechanics and they werent able to do it either, hopefully thats solved now, but it might be harder than it should be.

nah that wasnt it, probably a mistake in packing im thinking.
Maybe you got a bulb kit instead of a pro2 kit or something?

rockwool - I know the bulb is 12mm convertible. Just not bolt-up like I mentioned.
