hello. i´m dling a few movies, my pc is just formatted clean from scratch.

i dont want to dl the divx codec because i remember it was full of spyware and troyans.

is there any other way i can get a sanitized version of the dvix and xvid codecs?? or alternative media players??

some help please computer people!.

Try downloading the nimo codec pack, not sure if you can find it on the internet but you should be able to get it off of kazaa or suprnova.org or something. If you don't want to do that try downloading video lan client, its a media player that has been able to play every weird type of file and codec i have thrown at it that windows media player or real player couldnt handle. Hope that helps.

Look up the "Ace Mega Codecs Pack".

It's a seriously modified version of Windows Media Player Classic.

Despite its rediculous alternating caps and poor spelling and grammar in the help file, it really is a very well written and safe piece of software. Obviously, virus scan everything you download, but the software itself is safe and extremely effective.. I've yet to stumble across a movie I couldn't play with it.
