'04 Mazda3 Hatch. Almost 100k kms. Paid for. Definitely losing that "new car" appeal, but it'll do. What I need is a hitch and a rack for 2 more bikes...

In a van.... down by the river
I drive a 03 corolla with wind up windows. I use a tape player with a tape with a wire and plug attached to my SONY (NOT APPLE) mp3 player.

I use $10 sun glasses, not $150 oakleys.

See, I don't need to look cool in my WRX all decked out in my $150 Oakleys with my $300 apple IPOD.

I'm already cool. I don't need to prove it to others. So have fun with your car payments IDIOTS. Have fun washing your cars constantly IDIOTS.

I'm saving my money to buy canned foods for 2012, so I can survive a month longer than you.

How many TVs do you have again? :busted:

i was reading that the average car on the road is at an all-time high, with 9.4 years of service being the average. that struck me as really high. i don't know many people at all who drive cars that old, but then again maybe it's due to the snobbish northeast society i rub shoulders with.

where do you fall? [110K on it]
2006 w/35,000

I'm suprised more Massachusetts residents don't own cars > 5 years old simply from people trying to pay the gov't less exise tax each year.:twitch:

1999 Chevy Lumina LTZ with 156,000 on it. I think at this point I should just keep it until it dies, but I'm still looking to pick up a newer car soon.

'93 Toyota pickup w/215k. Free hand me down I've had for a couple of years, it mostly just sits there.

'90 Mazda Miata w/180k. Was a $700 commuter, now it's a cheap toy/project. I've been beating on it for about 3 years and it's still a blast to drive.

'90 Mercedes 190e w/2xxk. Odometer broke at 209k, PO said it'd been that way for years. He guessed it was ~290k. Looks nice, rides nice, runs nice and I paid very little for it. It's the perfect commuter.

My 97 Honda Civic has 105K miles but the fuel pump just went on it. I am phugged. I have a job interview tomorrow in NYC and I gotta cancel now. Phuuuug!
Step 1: Go to local parts store and purchase fuel pump assy.
Step 2: Remove rear seat
Step 3: Remove shiny aluminum cover
Step 4: Disconnect Fuel Pump wiring
Step 5: Remove 3 bolts holding fuel line cover
Step 6: Disconnect Fuel line
Step 7: Remove Fuel Pump assembly
Step 8: Reinstall in reverse order.

Tools Needed:
- 8mm socket with ratchet for fuel pump bolts
- 12mm socket for removal of rear seat
- large flat head screw driver or pry bar to undo seat clips
- phillips head screw driver to remove shiny aluminum cover
- internet to download instructions on how to remove rear seat

Problem solved... Total time for steps 2-8, 30-45min or less.

This is a horrible poll. For one brief moment, I thought my 99 Honda Accord qualified for two poll options.

Needs a header gasket but can fit bikes and gear inside and gets 34mpg. I'll own it in Aug and plan on keeping it forever.
