Probably riding 29er enduro. If he was so slow enough he got caught by a deputy (apparently) on foot, then he deserved to get busted...
$400 for going 20mph in 15mph park. Fascist state.Fuck California from what I have seen so far. Mud and rangers giving speeding tickets for over 15 MPH.
To be honest, that's not California, that's like saying NY City or Dallas Ft Worth is indicative of the entire state. What you have are a bunch of people in the Bay Area crammed into a finite amount of space all trying to use the same land, all trapped there because the traffic and access is so bad that going up to Tahoe or anywhere semi-secluded means days or weeks of your life in the car in a given year. It's not practical to go much further just due to how congested, which creates a barrier to leaving. I hear Mendocino County has some decent riding and isn't too bad to get to for some Bay Area locations...for now, but I wouldn't want to live in the Bay Area in a million years. Plenty of good places in Nor Cal that I'd consider though.Fuck California from what I have seen so far. Mud and rangers giving speeding tickets for over 15 MPH.
Noted; my only experience is in the belly of the beast. To be honest, that's not California, that's like saying NY City or Dallas Ft Worth is indicative of the entire state. This one is the suck because he cuts off a fairly nice piece of trail at the end of a really nice ride. Without his cut it would drop you right into another trail system, now you are forced to the road.I have seen that sort of crap in the trash strewn woods of New Hampshire.
The riding is just fine. The traffic, bridge tolls, etc...lol dentists
Spent Saturday getting fresh loam in Oakland (Joaquin Miller Park) and spent a few hours at the DJ park Saturday with the gf (Pleasanton BMX Track). Anyone who thinks riding in the bay sucks isn't doing it right. Or is just paying the price for being fancy enough to live with the monocle folks out in Marin.
Oh and I can get to Santa Cruz in about 1.5 hour if I want to make a day of something.
Ah... the trail Nazi. How I do miss interacting with him/sMike Vandeman, convicted of assaulting a rider with a saw blade when confronted while sabotaging a trail.
Yeah mid pen and their radar guns suck. East Bay regional is a bit better but luckily we have shit loads of BLM and NFS lands to go play as we wish on (until herr Twittler sells them off to a cronie) .
Fire roads mostly. A few single tracks here and there.is there any legal riding in Marin?
proof that fancy, dentist approved carbon makes you fasterProbably riding 29er enduro.
Tamarancho is one of the best places I rode whenever I was in Marin/Bay Area for LUNA summits. China Camp is decent too (fast, flow). Everything else we rode (Mt. Tam & Tennessee Valley) was predominately fire roads.Fire roads mostly. A few single tracks here and there.
Tamarancho is really fun but it's on private land owned by the Boy Scouts. Bunch of single track and a flow trail but you gotta pay (or be a dick and poach) to ride.
Despite it's history Marin has very little good riding compared to other places in the bay.Tamarancho is one of the best places I rode whenever I was in Marin/Bay Area for LUNA summits. Oh yeah! I’m spoiled with great riding right outside my door!Despite it's history Marin has very little good riding compared to other places in the bay.
