Many ppl have said that numbers on Giant's 2010 web-site are wrong. My bike, amongs others new Glories, proves it.
Totem's A-C is 5mm shorten than Boxxer's IIRC

Lots of people are in love with slack HAs nowadays, but my '09 Boot'r has the same conservative 65.5-degree HA as the Glory and I've yet to feel any issues with stability or cornering.

It's also worth noting that the V-10s HA is 67 degrees, and it's yet to have any trouble with anything the World Cup can throw at it (though having Peaty and Minnaar aboard surely doesn't hurt.)

Again comparing catalog pics over each other, both Mongoose and SC are slacker, despite the claimed 67deg angle of V10. Not to mention the extra ~1/2-3/4" sag that makes V10 even slacker in reality. That's why it won't hurt Syndicate riders, even if they do run stock geo.

66-67 deg angle sure makes for snappy handling and fun ride, no doubt about this. There are lots of people who may prefer this to slacker setups, and lots of tracks that benefit a lot from a more agile than stable bike.

But when discussing 2010 Glorys, either there's something inherently wrong with Giant catalog pics, or the bike is steeper than all the competition.

They should've fixed that geo. Related to the rest of the market, it's out of date.

Did anybody put a 8.5x2.5 shock on the 2010 glory?

I don't know about the photos, but SC also claims the Driver 8's HA is only 66.5 degrees. Whatever the case, it does seem that SC isn't into the slack-as-you-can philosophy that Mondraker and others have been getting into.

Still, numbers are only numbers. I think the Giant will be fine this year.

Which seems true. Dragging a pic of Driver 8 over the V10, you can see a subtle difference. The Driver 8 is indeed a little slacker, but has 2 inches less travel (same 8 inches as Glory, but slacker HT).

Yeah, I think SC probably intends the V10 and Driver 8 to have the same effective slackness when sag is taken into account.

I only bring up SC to remind people not to freak out when they read about a slightly-less-slack HA on a bike like the Glory. I've never heard anyone complaining about the V10 or Driver 8 in terms of slackness.
