And I seemed to have misspelled "Scrabble" in my thread title. I guess I'd exhausted my brain with my mega-flogging of my significant other.

the best was the end of the game...

I asked her if she knew how to spell gile or guile?
I wasn't sure...
I put down "gile"
she challenged, I needed a "u" for guile
So I just added the required "u" to correctly spell the word, get a double word, and use up all my tiles for the last word of the game.
It was glorious

Then you guys played it wrong.

If she challenges and is correct you take your tiles back and lose the turn. You can't just add the missing letter.

YOU LOST.

I'd given her some latitude earlier in the game...it was more for effect...heh. Still makes me giggle.

Besides, I'd built up a lead so enormous, I was not to be denied. Even with a missed turn! She'd have to score like 80 points with her next turn! Unpossible!

I'll just have to post a pic of the board tonight when I get home. I look forward to your analysis.

Since this is your future wife let me quote an often used and very wise saying for married men:

"You can be right, or you can be happy."

Good luck.
