Holy crap, sorry to hear about this. I've been hit twice and still feel some effects of the first one and it has been 3 years.

This is why I am always scared when I ride on the street.
All my rodie buddies are like, "It's fun! Come ride with us" and I just tell them that the trees in the woods never run me over so I'm gonna go ride in the woods.

My knee is feeling even better today. No pain or discomfort with walking. My fingers are healing up too. Less swelling, less pain, more movement.
I think I got off good with this one. But I think I am done on the road.

I've only been hit once, I would like to keep it that way. Good luck with your recovery.
AAAAND this is why I sold my road bike.
Now if I get on a city street, I'm on a dirt jumper with disc brakes and fat tires. I want to be able to stop, go, look over my shoulder, jump a curb etc. Just never felt safe on the nishiki despite the hipster appeal.
