Wow. Just wow. I cannot imagine the pain were I to lose my Blindside; and I cannot begin to imagine the joy to get reunited . . . and in such an awesome way. HUGE Props to EVERYONE involved!

I was waiting for the group hug and a few tears.
Gex and I got our share of hugs in, and I dunno if he was tearing up but I was, lol. It was like New Bike Day only even better!

The crank and bar damage doesn't surprise me as it looks like it hit on one side, and the crown damage is understandable (although a bummer). The wheels? He had a big ol' ding in the back rim before it fell off, I'll let him tell the story if he wants. Husband and I have a hunch he goes through his share of wheels without even adding freeway misadventures.

The hub flange on the front wheel actually had a crack in it and when taking out the rear wheel the whole freehub body came off. It was a bit of a shock to me. But hey I have wheels 2 spare.

if i were you i would still talk to my insurance and the rack maker. high speed fall onto pavement could have damaged or stressed something you cant see and you could have a fail off a drop or something. why risk it? if you had an xc bike that would be one thing but a dh bike is another story altogether. congrats on your good luck.
