if you have a qr20 super t, there is a solution to use it without getting new lowers. i was riding my fork like that for allmost 2 years and works better (it is quite stronger) than original system. in this image you can see what you need to do:
it is important to tighten the axle good before you tighten the "qr" system and that the metal part that tightens the axle is hard steel and isnt too curved (should be banana shaped like in the picture).
WTF? is that only attached by the one point at the front? I can see that working, but I don't have the sac to run something that a failure is gonna hurt like hell.
don't worry about breaking that thing... looks awful, but works like a charm.
qr20 system works like preload for axle, main forces are spreaded upwards, so there is really no greater chance for breaking this than original system. as i said, i was riding and racing this way for 2 years, and i'm still here...
