Sitting here at work watching Camp Woodward on Fuel.

Jesus I wish I was a kid these days!

I remember going to summer camp and being all excited that they had a mini-ramp and a 1 turn BMX track.

When I was in high school I went to a couple snowboard camps, and it really made me a better rider. I wonder would could have been if I had something like Woodward... I bet I could ride a bike for-realz these days.

I went to computer camp (1984) and learned how to hack.

My daughter had fun at the Camp Woodward booth at the Dew Tour. Very cool setup they had.

Ok, allow me to rephrase.
Why don't you wish you were a kid these days?

To jump on the old person whiner list, when I started bike racing, I had zero support from family or school.

I am now the head coach of a Norcal HS team, and my biggest problem is getting kids motivated to ride.

i like the kids i grew up with.

i liked seeing the bad brains when hr actually moved around on the stage.

i saw husker du twice. i know there will never be a reunion.

i saw das damen twice.....i doubt i will ever see them again.

henry rollins live......87-93......fvcking awesome.

i saw loop live.....i don't see a reunion happening either.

fugazi for five bucks.....not happening anytime soon.

i can always ride a bike in the woods.

Damn, you're old!

Then again, I saw Rollins in 1995. And it changed my life.

But I wonder, could Gaga do the same for me? I've always wanted to cross dress...

You make a good point. Though in fairness the wal-mart thongs over our racing gear didn't float very well at Massanutten a couple years back. "Sir, my son is here racing, and you're giving him conflicting messages on what it means to be a man..." It was like I ran into Hank Hill on that hill.

I wouldn't want to be a kid these days because I got to see bands that I thought were cool before they became mainstream. No other generation was able to get on the groundfloor of awesomness like I was. They probably never even heard of them anyway.

If you were at the show at the Channel then you may recall the door that opened during the show and the young drunk guy who was pushed out of it by an overzealous security guard trying to close said door. It was my roomate Lance.

My own world inside my head
I have a double sided thought on being a kid again...

I am just old enough that I see the hi school girls and think to myself.... Damn, what kind of parents let their daughters dress like that for hi school, or even Jr Hischool....

Then on the other side of it I am just young enough that I see girls dresed like that in hi school and Jr hischool and I think to myself... WTF why didnt the girls dress like this when I was in hi school......
